ACCREDITATION REQUIRED BY FEDERAL LAW TO PROVIDE VETERANS ASSISTANCE
There are many organizations and individuals who claim to offer assistance to veterans.
Many such organizations and individuals simply advise veterans to file their claims, and then see what happens. Beware!
Federal Statute 38 USC §5901 and Regulations (38 CFR 14.626 and 14.629) require anyone assisting a veteran with advice, consultation or the preparation, presentation and prosecution of a benefits claim be accredited by the VA Office of General Counsel. This is to assure veterans receive accurate and professional assistance. The attorneys at Always Best Care's national partner for veterans assistance, the Center for Elder Veterans Rights (CFEVR), are VA-accredited, and the paralegal staff works under their direct supervision.
If you’re a veteran in need of assistance, make sure the person you turn to is fully accredited by the Veterans Administration.
